The Kardashians Reminds Us How Crucial Kim's Legal Journey Has Been
Kim Kardashian has been studying for the baby bar since 2019, and in this week's episode, fans get a chance to see why she's so passionate about her journey to becoming a lawyer.
Last week, in addition to fallouts between Scott and the family, and Kim trying to find herself post-Kanye, fans saw Kim take the baby bar for the third - and final - time.
So...did she pass it? And what else did the family get up to in 'This Is A Life Or Death Situation'? Let's take a dive into episode six of Hulu's The Kardashians.

Kendall And Scott Make Up
With last week's episode drawing to a close with Kendall and Scott at odds, viewers were undoubtedly looking forward to seeing what would come of it all.
Early on in "This Is A Matter Of Life Or Death," Kendall addresses the issue with both Khloe and Kourtney, and she explains that, having had a number of toxic relationships over the years, she just isn't willing to engage in a situation like that.
Despite Kourtney initially wanting no part in the whole ordeal - "I'm unsubscribing from this drama," she laughs - Khloe urges the eldest sibling to address it with Scott, particularly because Scott would know better than to push the boundaries with her.
Ultimately, however, Scott and Kendall sit down to hash out the issue once both of them have calmed down, and both acknowledge that there's a long road ahead of them, now that Kourtney is engaged to Travis Barker.
Kanye West Makes An Appearance
In spite of her confiding in both Khloe and Kourtney that she and Kanye were not on speaking terms after he stormed out of her Saturday Night Live monologue, Kanye makes not just one, but two appearances in episode six.
Kim explains that it's important that they put on a united front for the kids' sake, and Kanye drops in to pick up the kids for school - first in a regular car, and the following day, in a fire truck.
Kanye is all smiles with the family, prompting Khloe to joke to Tristan Thompson that the Kardashian-Jenner family is like "the mob" when it comes to ex-partners - "blood in, blood out."
'This Is A Life Or Death Situation' Shines A Spotlight On Kim's Legal Career
Family dynamics aside, the running theme within episode six is Kim's legal career.
Early on in the episode, she jokes that her father, famed lawyer Robert Kardashian had told her she was too "vain" to be a lawyer, because handling sensitive cases would give her too many wrinkles. However, decades later, Kim has the last laugh. As she points out, ahead of a guffaw, now, she can just get botox to keep those lines at bay.
However, even while Kim is ready to poke fun at herself, one thing she takes incredibly seriously is her fight for criminal justice reform, and in "This Is A Life Or Death Situation," we get a taste of that.
In addition to the harrowing footage of Kim's final call with her client, the late Brandon Bernard, viewers are also shown her fight to get another man off death row. That is, Julius Jones.
The audience has an opportunity to see Kim's process of raising awareness for the case, as well as footage of the celebrities who spread the word on her behalf. We're also shown footage of Kim's conversation with Julius' sister when his sentence is altered from death row to life imprisonment - and her determined promise to keep fighting for his true freedom.
Kim Gets Her Baby Bar Results Back
Most of "This Is A Life Or Death Situation" is centered on Kim's desire to be a lawyer and the reasoning behind that. It's no surprise, then, that it all builds up to one do-or-die moment.
That is, the moment Kim gets her baby bar results back.
While out and about with North, close friend Tracy Romulus and her kids, Kim urges everyone to get into the car while she opens her results. The reason for that, she explains, is because she doesn't want everyone to see her upset in public if she's failed.
After taking a moment to log in to the platform, Kim takes a deep breath...before crying out that she's passed.
Kim's passing means the star is on her way to becoming a fully-fledged lawyer - and, now that we've seen what she's been able to do in the interim, it's clear that there are only bigger, better things ahead for her.
If 'This Is A Life Or Death Situation' has shown us anything, it's that Kim is set to become a legal powerhouse.
